Plot

The story takes place in Devipuram, a village in Andhra Pradesh. It follows three childhood friends , Seenu (Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas), Gajapathi (Manchu Manoj), and Varadha (Nara Rohith). Their bond is strong, but things change when a corrupt minister, Vedurupalli Venkateshwara Rao, tries to grab temple land illegally.

The minister plays dirty politics, manipulating Gajapathi, who is under financial pressure. This causes cracks in the friendship. What starts as a tale of unity turns into a conflict full of betrayal, pain, and emotional breakdowns, with each friend facing a moral test.

Performances

  • Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas gives a strong and emotional performance. His character’s transformation from a loyal friend to a man caught in chaos is believable and engaging.
  • Manchu Manoj, making a comeback, plays Gajapathi with intensity. His internal struggle is well-portrayed, and his performance stands out.
  • Nara Rohith is impressive as Varadha. He brings depth to a character who is torn between doing what’s right and protecting his friendship.
  • The female leads Aditi Shankar, Anandhi, and Divya Pillai support the story well and add emotional balance.

Direction and Technical

Director Vijay Kanakamedala manages to blend action, emotion, and drama. He sticks to the core theme of the original movie while giving it a fresh Telugu flavor. However, the second half feels slow at times and includes some over-dramatic scenes that could have been trimmed.

Cinematography by Hari K. Vedantam beautifully captures the village environment and adds a realistic feel. Editing by Chota K. Prasad is decent, though some scenes could have been tighter.

Music

Sricharan Pakala has composed music that fits the mood of the film. Songs like Oo Vennela, Dum Dumaare, and Gichhamaaku match the emotional and energetic scenes well.

The Bhairavam theme music is powerful and adds tension during crucial scenes.
